Canada on Rails launches new website and the location is announced

I have just launched the new Canada on Rails website. It is redesigned with the all fancy Ruby on Rails framework, built with two very sweet engines I plan to announce in a month or so (once I get my MacBook pro and can do some demos).

BCIT Downtown Campus has been chosen, with a maximum capacity of 300 people. We already have over 50% of the seats filled, so be sure to register soon or you might miss out on one of the most exciting technical events to come to Vancouver. This is 2x the size of the last Open Source Event I put on last June, and with 4 times the amount of speakers. All for only $250 right now for early bird.

The site uses some fancy AJAX technology for things such as within the News drop down at the top right, there is a page navigator that you can click and cycle through the news items. Along with the newsletter registration, making it way easier for people to stay in touch with Open Source Events and sign up. It uses some magic behind the scenes form posting to the newsletter registration page.

I am extremely pleased with the look of the site and the final product which resulted, and would love to hear what you think as well.
